Question 1

What is Sports Signal Intel?

Accepted Answer

One daily card of structured sports bets. Every pick that clears the quality gate ships. Some days three. Some days eight. No filler, no cap. Some days zero. That's intentional.

Question 2

How are picks generated?

Accepted Answer

SHARP pulls odds from 70+ sportsbooks, estimates true probability from the market, and checks the calculated edge against breakeven. Straights must clear a 2% edge floor. Parlays are assembled from those same qualified straights, gated by combined odds bands and an estimated probability margin above breakeven. Picks that fail any gate are logged for review.

Question 3

What does +EV mean?

Accepted Answer

Expected Value is the average you win or lose per bet over time. A +EV bet means the true probability of winning is higher than the sportsbook odds imply. Consistently betting +EV is the only mathematically proven way to be profitable over the long run.

Question 4

What is CLV?

Accepted Answer

Closing Line Value. It measures whether you got better odds than the final line before game time. Consistently beating the closing line is the strongest predictor of long-term profitability. SSI tracks CLV on every eligible pick.

Question 5

What do EDGE and MODEL READ mean?

Accepted Answer

Every pick on the card is labeled EDGE or MODEL READ. EDGE means the pick cleared the model's calculated-edge threshold; MODEL READ means it's the model's best read without a confirmed edge. EDGE plays carry a larger recommended unit size than MODEL READ plays, and Pick of the Day carries the largest. The label is assigned at generation time and shown right on the card.

Question 6

Why is the card sometimes empty?

Accepted Answer

Because no pick cleared the edge gate that day. The gate is enforced every day. Favorite-heavy slates often produce parlays too low in combined odds to clear the band. Empty days are not a bug. They are the point.

Question 7

Do you guarantee wins?

Accepted Answer

No. Anyone who does is selling you something. Sports betting involves real risk. What we offer is a documented track record, public rejection logs, and a framework you can audit.

Question 8

What sports do you cover?

Accepted Answer

NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAAF, NCAAB, soccer, MMA, tennis, and golf. Coverage depends on the season and available odds data.

Question 9

How does bankroll sizing work?

Accepted Answer

SHARP recommends stake sizes using quarter-Kelly sizing, which balances growth against variance. EDGE, MODEL READ, and Pick of the Day each carry their own recommended unit size. Daily exposure is capped at 15% of bankroll.

Question 10

What sportsbook should I use?

Accepted Answer

Hard Rock Bet is our primary book (Florida). Using two or three sportsbooks lets you shop for the best price on each play. DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM are common alternates.

Question 11

What are the tiers?

Accepted Answer

Free gives you one pick a day via Telegram, no cost. Full Access is $20/week or $45/month and delivers the Pick of the Day plus the full daily card, graded and delivered via Telegram. VIP is coming soon; pricing hasn't been announced yet.

Question 12

What's on the Quant roadmap?

Accepted Answer

Player props, prediction markets (Kalshi, Polymarket), cross-book arbitrage detection, and API access. None of these are live yet. Quant is a waitlist, not a purchasable tier.

Question 14

Question 17

Is SSI an aggregator of handicappers?

Accepted Answer

SSI publishes one sharp-side card under the SHARP banner. Picks come from disciplined, quantitative line analysis — live lines from sharp sportsbooks, true market probability, a small fixed edge, and quantitative thresholds. Every decision is auditable, not a black box.

Question 18

What makes your track record trustworthy?

Accepted Answer

Every pick is timestamped the moment it's generated, before game start. Results are auto-graded against official league data. Records cannot be edited or deleted. The full history is visible on the public track record page, signup not required.
